 At NewAge® Industries, application specifics often lead the way to tubing and hose developments. Performance needs are researched, and characteristics that are specially suited to meet certain tubing and hose requirements are produced. While Hytrel-lined PVC may not have as broad an appeal as our standard stock products, it is frequently required for particular applications.
Hytrel-lined PVC is a co-extruded tubing. The inner core of Hytrel is extruded first, then farther down the production line, the outer jacket of PVC is extruded around the inner core. This product is typically applied where different performance requirements for the inside and the outside of the tube are needed. For instance, the oil resistance of Hytrel may be needed for an application in a harsh environment, where the durability of PVC is well suited.
