Southampton, PA NewAge® Industries Superthane® brand transparent polyurethane tubing offers durability, chemical resistance, and excellent weathering characteristics. Superthane is suitable for a wide variety of applications, including air and gas lines, oil and fuel supply, insulating sleeves, powder and granular transfer, fluid feeds, nuclear power facility uses, and more.
Superthane offers the abrasion and tear resistance of plastic with the high tensile and elongation values of rubber. Its naturally flexible, containing no plasticizers that can leach out and contaminate critical streams. Superthane exhibits virtually unlimited flexural abilities and low compression set.
Two basic formulations of Superthane are available from NewAge Industries. The ether-based material offers superior resistance to moisture and fungi and is NSF-61 approved. The ester-based version has a slightly wider temperature range and is typically lower in cost. Both types provide exceptional resistance to most gasolines, oils, kerosenes, and other petroleum-based chemicals.
Superthane is available from stock in a total of 36 sizes, ranging from 1/16 to 2 I.D. The ether-based material offers a temperature use from -90°F (-67°C) to 175°F (79°C); -95°F (-70°C) to 185°F (85°C) for ester. A special incinerable version, developed primarily for nuclear power facility use, is also stocked. Superthane may be custom coiled, cut to length, colored, thermally bonded, and/or heat formed.
We offer other variations of polyurethane tubing and hose to meet expanded application needs. Urebrade® braid-reinforced polyurethane hose provides greater pressure capabilities. Superthane Hard Durometer, manufactured from a special 95A formulation, is available for use with convenient push-to-connect fittings. And Superthane Colors offers a variety of transparent and opaque colors for easy, multiple line identification.
