Corrugations Make Kink-Prone FEP Tubing Extremely Flexible — Retains Chemical and Electrical Properties of Straight-Walled Tubing

Southampton, PA — Now offered by NewAge® Industries, Inc., is a unique corrugated FEP tubing, called Corrtef™, developed for applications where the special properties of fluoropolymer are needed and flexibility is required. Uses for this distinctive product include most any application where tubing must bend around or through machinery, equipment, and structures, or applications where tubing extension and compression are repeated. Industries include medical, laboratory, robotics, chemical, food and beverage, pure water, pharmaceutical, adhesives and solvents, electrical, corrosives, and others.
Manufactured from FDA-sanctioned ingredients, Corrtef offers all the non-stick, electrical, and chemical-resistance properties of straight-walled, semi-rigid FEP tubing, which is prone to kinking when flexed. Corrtef allows customers to order a ready-made part that permits multiple bends and turns. It does not contain plasticizers, which can leach into critical streams and cause contamination. Additional benefits include:
- Withstands repetitious flexing and bending
- Clear FEP formula allows visual contact with the flow
- Offers a nearly zero bend radius
- Extension and compression do not affect the tubing’s I.D.
- Offers full vacuum capabilities (29.9 in./Hg.)
- Accepts standard barbed fittings, also available from NewAge Industries
Corrtef is available from stock in sizes from 1/4” to 2” I.D. and is supplied with cuffed (straight) ends, ready for fitting attachment. The tubing length—up to twelve feet—is specified at the time of order. Corrtef may be custom ordered with an overbraiding of Kevlar® for increased pressure capabilities. NewAge Industries also stocks straight-walled PTFE, FEP, and PFA tubing; thin-wall PTFE tubing; retractable, coiled FEP tubing; and convoluted PTFE tubing.
