Southampton, PA Polyethylene-Lined EVA tubing is available for immediate delivery from NewAge Industries, Inc. Polyethylene-Lined EVA provides the purity of polyethylene combined with the flexibility of EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate). Applications for this multi-purpose product include appliances, food and beverage processing, chemical transfer, pharmaceutical uses, laboratories, computer equipment, fluid feeds and drains, instrumentation, wire jacketing, and more.
Polyethylene (PE)-Lined EVA tubing is a co-extruded item. Its core of low density polyethylene is extruded first. Then, using a patented process, the EVA covering is extruded around the core farther down the production line. This manufacturing method results in a tubing that offers difference performance for the inside and outside of the tube purity inside, flexibility outside.
Produced from Class VI, FDA-sanctioned ingredients, PE-Lined EVA is non-toxic, odorless, tasteless, and inert. It offers excellent chemical resistance, and with its low friction coefficient, allows the easy passage of solids, alcohols, acids, caustic materials, and solvents. PE-Lined EVA also resists U.V., ozone, gases, and moisture.
PE-Lined EVA tubing is a viable substitute for more-costly PTFE fluoropolymer tubing in many applications (those involving temperatures below 100°F). In fact, PE-Lined EVA can cost as much as eight times less than PTFE tubing, depending on size.
PE-Lined EVA remains flexible at temperatures ranging from -29°F to 160°F. It is stocked in nine sizes from 1/8 to 1 I.D. A wide selection of fittings and clamps is also stocked by NewAge Industries, and custom options such as cut-to-length pieces, special sizes, and hose assemblies, are available as well.
