Made in USA

   Clear Polyurethane Tubing (PU Tubing)

  • Available in both Ester and Ether formulations
  • Clear, flexible, resilient, tough; resistant to oils, greases, and fuels^
  • Extremely resistant to weathering^^, tearing, impact, radiation, and abrasion
  • Wide range of temperature resistance: -95°F to 185°F (ester)
  • Contains no plasticizer that can cause flow contamination or tube hardening
  • Manufactured from FDA-sanctioned ingredients for use with wet and fatty food contact surfaces
  • Ether-based material is listed by the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF 61)
  • Can be heat sealed, coiled, fabricated, or bonded

Recommended Fittings & Clamps
  Notes

^^Hydrolytic Stability -- For resistance to moisture and fungus, SUPERTHANE ether is recommended (Ester polyurethane does not react well with water, prolonged humid conditions, or attack from fungus.) The ether-based formulation is listed by the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF 61). It also resists attack from ultra-violet rays making it a good material for outside use.

SUPERTHANE PU tubing is much more resistant to pressure and vacuum applications than corresponding sizes of PVC or rubber.

^Although polyurethane is commonly used in fuel applications, due to additives in today's gasoline and petroleum products, field testing should be performed.

For easy identification, SUPERTHANE is imprinted with the trademarked name.

Custom sizes, colors, shapes, or other durometers are available through minimum order. Repetitive cutting, bonding, heat-formed shapes, coiling, overbraiding (for higher pressure capability -- also see UREBRADE®), and other custom fabrications are also available -- call for details. Samples of stock material are available upon request.

*When used with Thermobarb fittings, SUPERTHANE will not require clamps, provided that working pressures remain at or below 105 psi at ambient temperature.

Standard ETHER-based SUPERTHANE material is NSF approved; ESTER is not.
Add length suffix to part number when ordering. Example: 100 ft. of 1/8" I.D. x 3/16" O.D. ester tubing is part number 200 0152-100.
Cut coils are available from coils of 100 ft. or less; charges apply -- call for details.
Coils over 100 ft. are sold by standard coil length only.
Tolerances: ID & OD ±3% but not less than ±.006".
ID is the critical dimension for fittings application.
