NewAge Welcomes A New Board Member

We are pleased to introduce our new member to NewAge’s Board of Directors, Terry Hisey.

Our Board of Directors consists of a group of experienced businesspeople with diverse credentials. As a whole, the Board holds a supervisory role and oversees NewAge’s corporate activities, assists with its long-term goals, and puts shareholders – which in NewAge’s case are its dedicated employee-owners – first.

Terry is an accomplished global leader with diverse experiences from over 30 years of advising executive leaders and boards across Life Science and HealthCare to improve business outcomes and organizational performance while navigating the ever-changing Life Science and HealthCare landscape. In these areas, Terry brings strength in CxO strategic coaching and development, a focus on execution to create enterprise value, support of technology-enabled business transformations across the end-to-end value chain, and a strong network throughout the Life Science and Healthcare community.

As a technology-savvy, strategic business leader, Terry has broad experience, including corporate strategy, M&A, product development, marketing & sales, production, and distribution. He has combined this business areas focus with hands-on leadership in key enabling capabilities such as ERP, IT, advanced analytics, real-world evidence, cyber, risk management, and digital capabilities. Terry also spent several years on the Advisory Board of a publicly traded venture capital firm, where he supported the evaluation of companies for capital deployment and mentored leadership in the portfolio companies from investment through successful exits, which, including this firm’s minority position, exceeded $1.6 B. This broad set of experiences enables him to quickly contribute and bring comprehensive, holistic perspectives and guidance to both management and boards on key issues facing businesses today as they drive innovation efforts to bring products and services to markets and patients.


Terry served as Vice Chairman and National Leader of Deloitte LLP’s $850M Life Sciences practice encompassing Consulting, Tax, Audit, Risk Advisory, and Transaction Services. In this role and others, he had overall responsibility for profit and loss, product & offering development, and overall business strategy & execution. These roles have given him experience in US and global markets targeted at healthcare providers, payors, government health, and regulators. Prior to Deloitte, Terry held executive leadership positions of increasing responsibility in both global consulting firms and technology companies. In these roles, he has prioritized the development of the next generation of leaders and continues to mentor a diverse set of leaders from his past firms, his clients, and the market.


Terry is an industry authority and speaker, having been featured in leading business and industry forums such as the Wall Street Journal, The Economist, Bloomberg, Pharmaceutical Commerce, the Financial Times, NPR, and others. He served for 15 years on the Advisory Board of Pharmaceutical Executives and was a member of the Advisory Board of InVivo. Terry has been an active participant in industry leadership through his C- level involvement with PhRMA, AdvaMed, and Healthcare Distribution Alliance on key business and policy matters. As a thought leader, he led programs on innovative topics, such as the Future of Health, the Future of Work, Digitization of Healthcare, and other contemporary topics. Terry is a private C-Level Consultant, an advisor to both public and high-quality Venture Capital, and Private Equity-backed companies, a Trustee of LaSalle College High School in Philadelphia, and a Board Member & General Manager of the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox of the Cape Cod Baseball League.

Terry has a BS in Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University, a MS in Organizational Dynamics from the University of Pennsylvania is a graduate of the Executive Leadership Program at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and the Board Director Leadership Governance Program at Drexel University’s LeBow College of Business.
